Japan/America Society of Kentucky (JASK)

Established in 1987, the Japan/America Society of Kentucky (JASK) is a nonprofit, nonpolitical membership organization dedicated to promoting a better understanding of the business, cultural and social practices and customs of Japan and Kentucky. Headquartered in Kentucky's Capitol, Frankfort, JASK provides member events and services throughout the state.

Yuko-en on the Elkhorn

Yuko-en on the Elkhorn is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3). It is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Founded in partnership with Georgetown’s Sister City, Tahara, Japan, its mission is to enhance community, international friendship, the appreciation for nature, and the promotion of lifelong learning in the areas of the arts, culture, the environment and international relations and commerce. This garden became the Official Kentucky Japan Friendship Garden by proclamation by the Legislature of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The logo with the Japanese ideograph for friendship and a bridge represents our sister city relationship with Tahara and our mission.
