JapanFest Atlanta is an annual festival dedicated to the culture and heritage of Japan. It is organized by the Consulate-General of Japan in Atlanta, the Japan-America Society of Georgia, and the Japanese Chamber of Commerce, Georgia. Every September, the festival attracts about 22,000 attendees to Infinite Energy Center in Duluth, Georgia.

JapanFest brings over 25 performers and workshops to Atlanta. Martial arts fans can visit The Way of the Warrior exhibits. Japanese Arts Studio holds Ikebana arranging demonstrations. Visitors will learn a lot about Bonsai, Kimono, and the Japanese Tea Ceremony. Ginza Dori or “main street” features over 120 vendors offering excellent souvenirs and art.

Japanese Food Court is one of the main attractions of the festival. Try delicious Teriyaki, Yakiniku, Surrito (Sushi Burrito), Sushi Tacos, Tempura Udon, Edamame and Spring Rolls, Suno Dessert, Japanese Shaved Ice, Tonkotsu Ramen, Chasoba Salad, Gyu Don, and much more. Don’t forget to stop by Sake & Beer Garden. Anime Village also offers a lot to explore. Families can attend a playland with Japanese games for kids. Admission is $10 per day or $18 for two days.
